RC Flying Field
On Top of the World (OTOW) is home to one of the most popular remote control flying fields in the country. Founded by seven OTOW residents more than 20 years ago, the R/C Flyers Club has become one of the nation’s largest model-aircraft groups with over 170 members. Members of the club enjoy the beautiful outdoor flying field, which is located in the heart of OTOW. Certified by the International Miniature Aircraft Association and the Academy of Model Aeronautics, the R/C Flyers Club has drawn model-aircraft enthusiasts from across the country to live here. On Top of the World is a community that offers fee simple estates where you own the land (Candler Hills, Indigo East, or Weybourne Landing) and leasehold estates, which means that you don't own the land. Instead, you sign a 99-year lease when you purchase a property there. When you sell, the new owner gets the balance of the lease. Additionally, part of your HOA fee provides lawn care services.
